The MSB seed list shows Millennium Seed Bank Partnership collections held at Kew's Millennium Seed Bank and at Partner Institutes.
- Seeds are available for use in research, restoration and re-introduction
- Seeds are supplied under the RBG Kew Material Supply Agreement
- Collections are indicated as available from Kew or only available through MSB Partner institutions. We cannot guarantee the availability of seeds in this category, nor can we facilitate a request to the partner organisation. Conditions of use will depend on the policies of the relevant partner institution.
IMPORTANT NOTICE. Unfortunately, due to changes in export regulations governing sending plant material and substantially increased costs associated with the new requirements, we are currently unable to send seed material outside the UK, if a phytosanitary certificate is required. However, individual countries plant health regulations may have provision for exemptions from the need for phytosanitary certificates accompanying imported seed samples, on condition the seeds are for research. We would ask you to investigate that possibility with your national plant health authority; and if they are able to issue valid exemption notices, then we will try to send samples, though obtaining necessary documentation may lead to delay in you receiving them. We are actively looking at the options available to us and we will update the site when we know more. Thank you for your understanding.
